Sexual Harassment

• What is sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment may include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors or physical conduct of a sexual nature when this conduct explicitly affects a worker’s employment, unreasonable interferes in a worker’s work performance, or creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive work environment.

• Harassment does not have to be of a sexual nature.
For example, it is illegal to harass a woman by making offensive comments about women in general.

•  Sexual harassment and gender-based violence are out of control in the industry
WWJ has fought for and won justice on behalf of many victims of sexual harassment and gender-based violence in the warehouse industry. For more information, see our research on the issue here.

Do you have concerns about sexual harassment? Contact the WWJ Women's Committee for help.
